second life

My second life Avatar is an Anthro/Furry mainly because I like how I can control my avatars facial expressions. being an anthro/furry is also a good way for me to experience being discriminated against since many users with human avatars think Anthro's are weird or creepy. I also just like having a tail XD! My avatar's right arm is a custom made item that I got when I first got into second life. It’s basically a megaman arm, that changes to a mega buster when I click it, and it fires when I left-click in mouse look. I also have a pet rat, whose part of the French revolution, you can see him on my shoulder. My clothing is based off of a character from a final fantasy game.

Aunt Mary

Dear, Aunt Mary,
social networking is like sending a letter in the mail and having it sent to the recipient instantly. the differences between Facebook and Myspace is basically time management, you should use Facebook because its easier to set up.

(honestly this is the only way I could possibly explain Social networking, Facebook, and Myspace to my aunt Mary.)

love,
Michael

ff7 wiki

Once I read what the new blog assignment was, I knew i needed a contraversial topic. but i didn't want to do somthing obvious or something most people have a position on so i decided to look up a historic game. I had to choose one of the greatest RPGs ever made of course. Final Fantasy 7 has been either called the most overrated game or the greatest game ever made, there is barely anything else in between.

The discussion page instantly says not to post topics relating to fandom, only stick to the development of the article. Many topics were discussed; one of the main topics was that an image be taken down because it's a spoiler for people who haven't played the game. There were also discussions of the new game Final Fantasy 7: Endless Crisis, not yet confermed, on whether or not it should have its own page even though it is A REMAKE OF THE GAME!! (Hell ya!!)

On the history page there is deletions and talk of the article being too long (It can never be to long!! >:D), or that there are too many sources. (You can never have to many sources XD)so basically its pretty clean and all about the article, which surprised me.

Questions one and two

1. the main focus for my group ad was to take the "I'm a mac and I'm a pc" ad and show how that even though one looks better it still has the same problems.... IT'S AN EFING COMPUTER!! It doesn't matter which one you buy they both suck. so i used the "Blue screen of death" for the windows guy. then i used the "Rainbow Circle of doom" for the Mac guy. this way both the mac and pc people are both forzen.
2. I mostly learned that no matter what i make it will still be to intelligent for most people, acording to the teacher. the reason for this is because i was told that my first draft made no sense and had no audanice focus, which was true. But fugured that everyone who uses a Pc would see the "Blue Screen of death" and understand what the "Rainbow Circle of Doom" ment. honstly if one person didn't understand it, the person next to them would and they would explain it to them.

Blogs and Politics

Most blogs talk about how government affects the social life of the blog's writer. So it’s not too weird to think that blogs have an effect on government these days. All blogs are connected to at least another blog. So if someone were to read someone else’s blog and find that what the person writes makes a good argument about the election candidates. The reader would usually comment on it either agreeing or disagreeing with the topic. The writer then might contact the reader to make a remark on the reader’s statement. While this is going on, another person might come across the same post and then in turn comment about the writer’s topic and or make a comment on what the original reader wrote. More and more people will comment on the post makeing it effect more then a couple of people. This well keep going on for a long time until something happens that makes the topic out of date. As for social net works, the same is simply applied.

advertising

Most of my time is spent in my room, in my car, and at school. I come across many advertisements in all three. In my room I have plenty of stuff that is considered to be advertisements, like some old coke bottles, or converse shoes. But out off all my junk I like my "Mass Effect" cardboard cutout and my "Ben & Jerry's Americone dream" ice cream tub. The card board cut out is an obvious advertisement because it was made to promote the game it featured. The ice Cream tub promotes both "Ben & Jerry's" and Stephen Colbert. When driving I’m usually going to school or to hang out with my friends. off course there are plenty of Billboards and stores advertizing things. Even some cars have bumper stickers on the back promoting a website or product. At school the things that seem to be advertized the most are Windows or Apple computers. Everywhere you go on campus someone is using their laptop. So basically everywhere you go you come across advertisements.

Political blogs

I looked at all the blogs posted on CTools. Upon reviewing them I found that most are too congested or have too little information. The only blog that I felt was well put together was the American thinker. It gives a list of old articles and which ones are the most important. It also doesn't post the whole article on the front page. This way it's easier to see which article you want to read just by reading the title of the article. In short the site is well organized for the reader.

culture

[Not completed]
Most of the time culture is useally thought of as a persons color or their religion. But people belong to more cultures then they think. Along with being jewish, white, and american I also belong to cultures such as the Anime, and Video Game cultures. how are these cultures? Well these groups contain large groups of people who all share ideas and customs and also have arguements on certian parts of the culture itself. every day i constiantly find people who themselves belong to the culture.
